Sonseray Reed has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2006 as a Teaching Artist for YAFFA CULTURAL ARTS INC. From 2009 to 2012, they served as an Art, Dance and Music Teacher for Citibabes, LLC, and worked as a Bartender for both R2L and Talula's Garden. In 2013, they became an Assistant Manager and Server at Osteria NJ. From 2015 to 2019, Reed worked at URBN (Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie Group, Free People & Nuuly), where they held the roles of Pizzeria Vetri Director of Operations and GM of Philadelphia Pizzeria Vetri Outlets. In 2018, they became the Chief Operations Officer and co-owner of Alpha Dog Food, a locally based business that specializes in healthy, fresh dog and cat food made in the USA. In 2021, they founded and became the CEO of Tender Love Care Co. Currently, Reed is an Associate Account Executive and Business Development Representative at NewtonX.

Sonseray Reed's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communications & Theatre from the University of Pennsylvania, obtained between 1999 and 2003. From 2004 to 2006, they attended the Stella Adler Conservatory and obtained an Acting degree. Prior to that, they obtained a High School Diploma from The Dalton School between 1995 and 1999. Additionally, they obtained certifications from Aspireship in 2014, Duolingo French Fluency: Intermediate in 2016, and Parle Italiano from Duolingo.
