Bruno Alfano-Rizzo has a diverse work experience across multiple companies. Bruno began their career at TD Bank Group in 2010, where they worked in institutional equities sales and trading for a few months. In 2011, they moved on to No Sweat Budgets, where they served as a product manager until 2015. Following that, they joined Keyhole.co as a web developer, focusing on social conversation tracking. In 2016, they joined Grobo Inc. as a software engineering lead and held this position until 2021. At Grobo Inc., Bruno gained extensive experience in leading software engineering teams. From 2021 onwards, they transitioned to Newton.co, starting as a back-end developer and progressing to senior software engineer, engineering lead, and currently as an engineering manager. Throughout their career, Bruno has demonstrated their expertise in software engineering, leadership, and product management.
Bruno Alfano-Rizzo completed their bachelor's degree in Economics and Philosophy from Queen's University from 2007 to 2011. In 2014, they attended Bitmaker Labs for web development training. Bruno also obtained various certifications, including the Trader Training Course (TTC) and Canadian Securities Course (CSC) from the Canadian Securities Institute in July and June 2010, respectively. Most recently, in April 2022, they became a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) through the Scrum Alliance. In 2022, Bruno also pursued a product management program at BrainStation.
