Alissia Thomas has extensive experience in law enforcement and customer service, currently serving as a Sergeant and formerly as a Detention Deputy at the Newton County Sheriff's Office since 2012. Responsibilities include processing individuals into the detention facility, conducting searches, managing inmate property, and maintaining facility security. Previous roles include Detention Corporal at Emerald Queen Hotel & Casinos and Security Officer at Boys & Girls Clubs of America, where responsibilities included ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for club members and parents. Alissia Thomas holds a diploma from Foss High School and has pursued additional education at the Everest Institute in Decatur.
