James (Jim) Young, PG, is an accomplished program manager and entrepreneur with extensive experience in environmental management and technology development. Currently serving as Program Manager at NewSouth Technologies, Inc., Jim oversees the Permitting Transformation Program for the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality, focusing on modernizing permitting systems. As a cofounder of XForms, LLC, Jim has contributed to the development of versatile field data collection software. Previous roles include project management at Mid-Atlantic Associates, where Jim managed petroleum-hydrocarbon sites, and cofounder positions at Terraine, Inc., Legal Software Solutions LLC, EnviroTech Summit, and Provalent Solutions, LLC, where Jim was involved in various environmental and software initiatives. Jim holds advanced degrees from Duke University, the University of South Carolina, and a bachelor's degree in Geology from Texas A&M University.
