Andy French has a diverse work experience spanning across various roles and industries. Andy started their career in 2001 as a Bar Supervisor and Cellerman at Cottesloe Beach Hotel. In 2006, they transitioned to Westnet, where they worked as a Sales and Technical Consultant until 2008. From 2009 to 2012, Andy worked at KPMG Australia as an Assistant Manager, specializing in supply chain and logistics for major oil and gas projects.
In 2012, Andy joined News UK as a Group Finance Analyst, responsible for consolidating and analyzing management accounts. Andy then held various positions within the finance department, including Senior Finance Strategy Analyst, Finance Manager for Technology and Product, and Head of Finance - Technology and Product. Most recently, they served as the Head of Commercial Finance and Head of Finance - TV at News UK.
Andy brings extensive experience in finance and business analysis, along with a strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes.
Andy French completed their Bachelor of Science in Information Systems at Murdoch University from 2001 to 2005. Andy then pursued a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Accounting at The University of Notre Dame Australia from 2006 to 2008. Andy also obtained a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting from the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia, although the specific dates of this program are unknown. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Chartered Accountant designation from the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants in May 2012 and completed a course titled "The Law and Economics of Mergers and Acquisitions" at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in April 2022.
