Alex Woods has worked in a variety of roles since 2013. Alex began their career as a Research Associate at the University of Oxford, followed by a role as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at the NHS. In 2016, they became the Lead Doctor of the GB START program at British Rowing, and in 2019 they co-founded and became the CEO of Newrotex Limited.

Alex Woods attended the University of Oxford from 2002 to 2013, earning a BA (Hons) Human Sciences in 2005, a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Zoology/Animal Biology in 2009, and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) in 2013.
