Kelsey Karls is a Senior Corporate Counsel with extensive experience in ERISA and fiduciary services. Currently, Kelsey serves as Corporate Secretary for the Special Fiduciary Services Subcommittee at Newport Trust Company, advising on ERISA matters and drafting related agreements. Kelsey's previous roles include Senior Corporate Counsel at Ascensus and Counsel at Principal Financial Group, where responsibilities included providing legal advice on retirement plans and products. Kelsey also held positions at Wells Fargo as Vice President-Fiduciary and Regulatory Consultant and at Hitesman & Wold, focusing on employee benefits and transactional law. Kelsey began a legal career as a partner at Heimerl & Lammers, specializing in family law litigation. Kelsey holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing Management and Legal Studies in Business from the University of St. Thomas.
