Matthew Petersen has extensive experience in the field of social work and education, currently serving as Adoption Program Director and previously as Adoption Program Supervisor at Child & Family Services, Inc. since January 2021. Prior roles include Director of Behavioral Supports at Times2 STEM Academy, where Matthew fostered positive school culture and implemented Restorative Justice Practices, and Project Coordinator at the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth & Families, focusing on kinship assessments and family evaluations. Earlier experiences at Child & Family included roles such as Team Lead for Treatment Foster Care, Manager of Residential Services, Program Manager, Case Manager, and Residential Counselor. Matthew holds a Master of Social Work from Rhode Island College and two degrees from Salve Regina University, including a Master's in Administration of Justice and Homeland Security and a Bachelor's in Administration of Justice.
