Nandhipan Das has experience working as an Engineer In Training at Newfoundland Power since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Electricity Generation Company Of Bangladesh Limited from 2009 to 2021 in various roles including Executive Engineer, Sub-Divisional Engineer, and Assistant Manager. In these roles, they were involved in planning electrical maintenance work, supervising maintenance activities, and procuring electrical spares. Nandhipan also gained experience in troubleshooting and scheduled maintenance of various electrical systems. Additionally, they worked as a Lecturer at Southern University Bangladesh in 2009, where they taught undergraduate courses and assisted students with assignments.

Nandhipan Das completed a Master of Applied Science (MASc.) degree in Energy Systems Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland, from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained an MBA degree in Finance from the University of Dhaka, from 2016 to 2019. Nandhipan'sundergraduate education was at the Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology, where they earned a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from 2004 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Nandhipan also obtained several certifications from Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL), including "ePROT 401: Protecting Power Systems for Engineers" in January 2023, "CBT 102: Retrieving Event Reports" in October 2022, "CBT 104: Understanding SEL Relay Logic" in October 2022, "CBT 105: Math Fundamentals" in October 2022, and "CBT 101: Introduction to SEL Relays" in September 2022.
