Tracy Poindexter-Canton, M.A., currently serves in Communications and Grant Services at NEWESD 101, where responsibilities include planning and implementing communications for various educational institutions in Northeast Washington, as well as securing grant funding for educational programs. Previous experience encompasses roles at organizations such as YWCA Spokane, where Tracy contributed to communication strategies and content updates, and Gonzaga University, where editorial and research support was provided to student publications. Early career work at The Spokesman-Review included writing theater reviews and assisting with newsroom operations. Tracy holds a Master's degree in Communication and Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University, a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Creative Writing from Seattle University, and a Certificate of Completion in Organizational Leadership from Leadership Spokane.
