Nick Collins serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of Finance at Newcastle University since October 2021. Previously, Nick held the position of Chief Financial Officer at GBB from December 2019 to September 2021 and at Virgin Money from August 2012 to December 2019, where significant achievements included the development of the finance function prior to an IPO and enhancements in financial reporting and control. Additionally, Nick was the Head of Internal Audit for a FTSE 350 bank, providing vital insights to the Board during a period of growth, and previously worked as a Senior Manager at PwC, leading external audit engagements in the financial services sector. Nick holds a Master's degree in Physics from the University of Oxford, completed between 1999 and 2003, and attended City of Sunderland College from 1997 to 1999.
