Thomas Keeney currently serves as the Women's First Team Sports Scientist at Newcastle United Football Club since August 2023, previously holding a similar position with Nottingham Forest FC from July 2021 to August 2023. Thomas Keeney has also worked as the Women’s Reserve Team Physical Performance Coach at Nottingham Trent University from October 2021 to August 2023, and served as a student academic representative during both the Master’s and Bachelor’s programs. Prior to pursuing a career in sports science, Thomas Keeney gained experience as a Warehouse Operative at RS Components during a gap year. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Exercise, a Master’s in Exercise Physiology, and ongoing doctoral studies in Sports and Exercise at Northumbria University.
