Michael Brown currently serves as the Director of Open Digital Cooperative, an organization focused on the sustainable development of Localgov Drupal, since November 2023. Previously, Michael held the position of Website Manager at Newcastle City Council, where responsibilities included leading a multidisciplinary team, setting strategic visions, and promoting user-centric digital transformation. Michael's extensive experience in communications spans various roles, including Senior Multimedia Officer at Durham County Council and multiple secondment positions in communications for key services, alongside a background in journalism as a multimedia reporter. Michael holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Senior Leadership from Alliance Manchester Business School and a BSc in Molecular Biology from The University of Sheffield.
