Mark Nicholson is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Chief Finance Officer at Newcastle City Council since April 2006, fulfilling the role of Section 151 Officer. Prior to this, Mark held various positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers from October 1997 to April 2006, starting as an Assistant Manager and advancing to Senior Manager in the Public Sector & Advisory practice. Mark also worked as an Assistant Auditor at the National Audit Office from August 1994 to October 1997 during a training contract focused on the Home Affairs portfolio. Mark holds a degree in Chemistry from Christ Church, Oxford, earned between 1988 and 1992.
