Emerson Hunton serves as the Music Program Manager at Comfort Station Logan Square since July 2017, overseeing a weekly music series that involves curating performances and collaborating with various organizations. Concurrently, Emerson works as a Digitization Technician at The Newberry, providing high-quality photography and ensuring adherence to Library of Congress standards for artifact reproduction. As a Modern Dance Accompanist for the Hyde Park School of Dance, Emerson offers percussion and piano accompaniment for classes spanning from early childhood to adult levels. Additionally, Emerson pursues freelance work as a drummer, composer, and dance accompanist, quickly adapting to choreography to enhance performance. Emerson's experience also includes an Archival Assistant role at the Oberlin Conservatory Library Special Collections, and earlier freelance music and education roles. Emerson holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance from Oberlin College, awarded in 2016.
