Stacey Whiteley has a diverse work experience spanning multiple positions and organizations. Stacey began their career as a Probation Officer at the Albany County Probation Department in 1998 and held the role until 2003. Following this, they joined the Bethlehem Youth Court as a Director from 2002 to 2008. In 2008, Stacey joined the New York State Bar Association as a Program Manager, where they remained until 2013. In 2014, they became the Executive Director at the Albany County Bar Association until 2015. Stacey then transitioned to the Albany County Family Court as the Deputy Chief Clerk from 2015 to 2016. Stacey returned to the New York State Bar Association in 2016, initially as the Managing Director of Legal and Community Services until 2019, when they became the Lawyer Assistance Program Director.
Stacey Whiteley obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University at Albany, SUNY. Stacey attended this institution from 1987 to 1993. In addition to their degree, Stacey also holds a certification as a Certified Recovery Coach obtained from the Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Providers of New York State-New York Certification Board in July 2021.
