Mahfuzul Islam is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in community organization, education, and social entrepreneurship. Currently serving as a Community Liaison at the New York State Senate, Mahfuzul has also co-founded Jhal NYC, a social entrepreneur initiative that empowers stay-at-home mothers and immigrants through employment and skills development. Previous roles include Tenant Organizer at Chhaya Community Development Corporation, where Mahfuzul significantly increased Census completion rates and secured funding for tenants, and Adjunct Professor at Fordham University and New Jersey City University, recognized for teaching excellence.
