Kevin M. Klein Sr. has extensive experience in fire service and public safety. Currently, Kevin serves on the New York State Committee on Recruitment & Retention in the Fire Service, appointed in August 2021 to enhance volunteer fire service recruitment and retention across the state. Since April 2008, Kevin has been a Fire Alarm Dispatcher for the North Bellmore Fire District, while also maintaining a longstanding role as a Firefighter and Chief of Department for the Oceanside Fire Department since January 1993. Kevin's educational background includes ongoing studies toward a Bachelor of Applied Science in Fire Services Administration at Columbia Southern University, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in Fire Science/Fighting and a prior Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Nassau Community College.
