Richard Kappers is a seasoned professional in the insurance industry with extensive experience in product management, underwriting, and training and development. Currently serving as Corporate Vice President at New York Life Insurance Company since January 2021, Richard has successfully managed the Life and AD&D product line, achieving notable accomplishments such as the development of the Group Enrollment Strategy and the introduction of the Survivor Support Specialist role. Prior to this, Richard held several key positions at Cigna Group Insurance from June 2000 to January 2021, including Product Management Senior Advisor, Assistant Director of Training and Development, and Regional Underwriting Manager. Richard's earlier career includes roles at American International Group, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, Group Management Services, Inc., and Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. Richard holds a BA in Political Science and Studio Art from the State University of NY, College at Oneonta.
