Erin Harrist is a legal professional with extensive experience in civil rights and LGBTQ+ advocacy. Currently serving as the Director of the LGBTQ+ Unit at The Legal Aid Society since March 2020, Erin Harrist also holds the position of Senior Staff Attorney at the New York Civil Liberties Union since May 2012. Previous roles include Associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, and Legal Assistant at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. Erin Harrist began a career in law after earning a J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2007, following a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Columbia University in 2002.
