Tara Wilkins Starwalt, DSW, CSW, CCHP, currently serves as a part-time instructor at The University of Kansas and an instructor at the University of Kentucky's College of Social Work since September 2019. Additionally, Tara holds the position of Community Engagement Specialist and Podcast Co-host at New Vista KY since November 2022. Previous experience includes roles as Jail Linkage Coordinator and Senior Social Worker at University of Kentucky HealthCare, along with clinical and outreach positions at Kentucky Refugee Ministries and the University of Baltimore. Tara holds a Doctorate in Social Work and a Master's in Social Work from the University of Kentucky, as well as a Bachelor's in Visual and Performing Arts from Texas Tech University.
