Joanne Montague is a Senior Legislative Librarian at the New Mexico State Legislature since July 2019, providing reference assistance to legislators, staff, agencies, and the public while supervising library personnel. Prior experience includes serving as a Librarian II at Milwaukee Public Library, offering reference and computer assistance and managing a collection of business and patent books. Joanne has also worked as a Law Librarian for the 19th Judicial Circuit Courts, where responsibilities included managing the law library, providing reference assistance, overseeing the JusticeCorps program, and implementing a new classification system. Additional roles include Reference Librarian and Library Assistant II at the State of Utah Law Library, Outreach Coordinator at Weber State University, and Library Assistant at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. Joanne holds a Master of Library and Information Science from San Jose State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Northwestern University.
