Joseph Thompson is a seasoned petroleum engineering professional currently serving as an Advanced Petroleum Engineering Specialist at the New Mexico State Land Office since September 2022 and as a Completions Engineer at Bruington Engineering, LLC since August 2022. Previously, Joseph held roles as a Petroleum Engineering Specialist at the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department of New Mexico and as a Lead Field Engineer at ProFrac Services, where responsibilities included real-time well stimulation monitoring, technical advice on design and operation, and QAQC testing for hydraulic fracturing. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in General Sciences from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, completed in 2018.
