Stephanie L. is currently serving as a Behavioral Risk Factors Surveillance System Epidemiologist at the New Mexico Department of Health since January 2023. Previously, Stephanie spent nearly a decade at the University of Arizona, where roles included Ph.D. Candidate and Graduate Teaching Assistant, focusing on epidemiology and public health. Key responsibilities included teaching introductory classes, conducting research, and managing laboratory experiments related to mosquito-borne diseases and melanoma. Early career experiences featured internships and teaching assistant positions across various institutions, including Think New Mexico and Knox College. Stephanie holds a Ph.D. in Epidemiology and a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Arizona, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and International Studies from Knox College.
