Mark Chernis is an experienced professional in the education and technology sectors, currently serving as an Operating Partner and Senior Advisor at New Markets Venture Partners, and as an Operating Executive at Falfurrias Capital Partners since October 2023. Chernis also holds a board member position at Straive, a company specializing in content technology solutions. Previously, Chernis was the Chief Operating Officer at 2U, managing over 4,000 employees across various functions. Additional board roles include significant contributions at Bridge International Academies, Keypath Education, SPARK Schools, and Avanti Learning Centres. Chernis has former experience as Managing Director at Pearson Affordable Learning Fund and is a member of the Limited Partner Advisory Committee for Learn Capital.
