Reid Haefer is a data science contractor at New Leaders since March 2024, specializing in Python data pipelines and data engineering using Mage, AWS, and Git. From September 2021 to September 2024, Reid worked as a consultant at RSG - Resource Systems Group, Inc., focusing on climate change, urban planning, and transportation analytics. Prior experience includes managing transportation and land use modeling programs at the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency and serving as an Urban Forestry Commissioner for the City of Seattle. Reid has also held roles in data management and analysis at the Puget Sound Regional Council and Seattle City Light, and gained early experience in sustainability research with the U.S. House of Representatives and as an assistant at Solar Energy International. Reid holds a Master's Degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Washington and a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Western Washington University.
