Ray Bukowski currently serves as the Managing Director of Government Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability at New Jersey Resources since July 2022. Previously, Ray held the position of Director of Environmental Strategy at New Jersey Natural Gas Company Represented Employees VEBA from November 2021 to October 2022. Prior to this, Ray spent nearly three decades at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, culminating in the role of Assistant Commissioner for Natural & Historic Resources, where management of over 850 full-time and 1,000 seasonal staff across various environmental programs was key. Additional roles included Assistant Commissioner for Compliance & Enforcement, where Ray oversaw the enforcement of environmental laws and regulations, and Park Manager at Island Beach State Park, enhancing public access and services. Ray's extensive experience encompasses leadership in environmental policy, strategic program management, and effective staff empowerment to uphold and advance New Jersey's environmental standards.
