Cristo Leon, B.A., M.B.A., Ph.D. (candidate), has a diverse background in research, education, and nonprofit management. They have held roles such as Director of Research at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where they successfully established budget and research-based metrics. Cristo has also worked as a Global Facilitator, Mentor & Trainer at Tecnológico de Monterrey, contributing to the International Certification in Disruptive Innovation and Sustainability Program. Additionally, they have experience as the Chairperson of the Tecolutla Turtle Preservation Project and as an Associate Director of e-Learning at Ocean County College. Cristo has a strong background in instructional design and training, having worked as the Director of Research and Innovation at Universidad Veracruzana and as an Instructional Designer & Trainer at Secretaría de Educación Pública. They have also gained experience in cultural immersion programs and international education as the Resident Director at International Studies Abroad.
Cristo Leon is currently a Ph.D. candidate at IEU Universidad, pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in International Management with a focus on Business Administration, specifically in the field of Management and Innovation of Institutions. Prior to this, Cristo completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in E-Commerce/Electronic Commerce from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2015. In 1999, Cristo obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Theatre and Cultural Promotion from Universidad Veracruzana. Additionally, Cristo has a Certificate in English as a Second Language from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, obtained in 1998. Cristo has also obtained various certifications, including those in biosafety, research administration, leadership, and business fundamentals from reputable institutions such as CITI Program, McKinsey & Company, and NCURA.
