Julie Metz has worked in a variety of roles in the past 20 years, beginning with Men's Grill Server at Idle Hour Country Club in 2001. Julie then moved to Corporate Fitness Works in 2005, where they worked as a Trainer, developing positive relationships with current members and performing health and fitness evaluations on new and prospective clients. In 2006, they worked as a Retail Sales Merchandiser for Advantage Sales and Marketing. In 2013, they worked as a Retail Sales Associate for Anthropologie. From 2008 to 2015, they worked as an Account Executive for New Horizons CLC of Lexington, KY. Julie then moved to Tempur Sealy International in 2015, where they worked as a Sales Consultant. Finally, they began working as a Sales Account Executive for New Horizons in 2022.

Julie Metz received their Master's degree in Health Promotion from the University of Kentucky in 2005. Prior to that, they attended Mentor High School from 1995 to 1998.
