Carol Wasserman is a seasoned professional in regulatory affairs and environmental policy, currently serving as the Senior Manager for the New England Hydropower Company LLC in the Division of Environmental and Regulatory Affairs since May 2012. Prior experience includes a role as Principal Scientist at ESS Group, Inc., where Carol managed energy and environmental regulatory programs, and serving as Deputy General Counsel for the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources, acting as a state liaison to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Carol's foundational legal experience includes positions as Assistant General Counsel at the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and Senior Assistant Regional Counsel at the US EPA. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Law degree from New England Law | Boston, a Master's degree in Marine Biology from Northeastern University, and a Masters of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Stony Brook University.
