Eric Hanson has a strong background in the renewable energy industry. Eric currently holds the position of VP of Engineering & Construction at New Energy Equity since July 2022. Before that, they worked at Impact Power Solutions, where they held the role of COO from March 2019 to July 2022 and the role of Director of Project Management from January 2016 to March 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Manager of Implementation- Solar Lending at Kilowatt Financial from December 2014 to January 2016. Hanson also worked as a Sr Project Manager- Solar at Emerson Industrial Automation from November 2013 to December 2014 and as the Director of Operations at Abengoa from November 2008 to October 2013. Their career started at VEE Corporation as a Project Manager, where they worked from 2000 to 2008.

Eric Hanson completed their education at the University of Minnesota. Eric obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Communications in 1999. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management, which they completed between 2020 and 2022. Apart from their formal education, Eric also obtained certifications, including a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in November 2010 and a PV Installation Professional certification from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) in June 2009.
