Armen Arus

Co-Founder & CEO at New Age Alpha

Armen Arus is a groundbreaking entrepreneur who co-founded New Age Alpha with Julian Koski, and he currently serves as the company's CEO. Armen is also a member of the Board of Directors and acts as Interested Trustee to the New Age Alpha Trust.

Armen Arus possesses a proven track record across all aspects of company growth and leadership: from early-stage idea generation to research and funding, to startup and mid to late-cycle development, to successful and efficient exit. With extensive asset management background, strategic planning, product innovation, and the delivery of complicated business models and investment solutions, Armen has pragmatic expertise within an intensely competitive investment environment.

Over the past 20+ years of partnership with Julian Koski, the duo has combined their abilities to launch and build modern, efficient, and dependable asset management firms. Armen and Julian co-developed New Age Alpha's H-FactorTM methodology, which is at the core of New Age Alpha's investment approach and portfolio solutions. Before establishing New Age Alpha, Armen and Julian co-founded Transparent Value, which was successfully sold to Guggenheim Partners in 2009. At Transparent Value, Armen and Julian invented the Required Business Performance (RBP), the investment process that formed the foundation of the firm. Armen was instrumental in launching, organizing, operating, and selling the asset management business which included mutual funds, separately managed accounts, hedge fund, indexes, and UITs. This enterprise included a successful outsourcing unit, personally constructed by Armen, composed of approximately 250 analysts and technology professionals. Armen also served as president of the mutual fund trust, portfolio manager and managed the fund's relationships.

Armen began his career at Lehman Brothers' CMBS group, then later joined the Acquisition Finance Group at JPMorgan Chase, focusing on financing solutions for financial sponsors. Armen is a graduate of New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business with degrees in Finance and Information Systems.
