Russell Granet serves as the President & CEO of New 42 since June 2019, following a distinguished career in arts education and leadership. Previously, Granet held the positions of Acting President and Executive Vice President at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts from September 2012 to May 2019. As the founder and director of Arts Education Resource from March 2007 to September 2012, Granet focused on ensuring quality arts education for all students. Granet also directed professional development and grant programs at the Center for Arts Education from June 1998 to February 2007 and oversaw education initiatives at The American Place Theatre and Creative Arts Team earlier in the career. Granet's academic contributions include serving as an adjunct professor at New York University, developing a graduate-level course on theatre and disability. Granet holds an M.A. in Educational Theatre from New York University, a one-year post-graduate degree from the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art, and a B.S. in Communications from Emerson College.
