Sergey Avanesov has worked in the telecommunications industry since 1997. Sergey began their career as Head of Sector of Internet-Services at Moscow Cellular Communications. In 2002, they were appointed Head of Department of Development of Products in Regions and the CIS Countries at JSC Vimpelcom. Sergey then moved to KaR-Tel LLP "Beeline" in 2004 as Head of Product Department. In 2008, they became Head of Direction at SYNTERRA CJSC, and in 2010, they were appointed Business Development Director at A1 Systems. In 2017, they founded Neuro.net, and in 2021, they founded Voctiv.

Sergey Avanesov obtained their MBA from the Higher Commercial Management School from 1999 to 2001. Prior to that, they attended Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) from 1992 to 1998.
