Filomene M. is a Senior Research Scientist at Neumora, where tenure began in October 2020. Prior to this role, Filomene served as a Research Scientist at BlackThorn Therapeutics from July 2019 until its acquisition by Neumora. Filomene's postdoctoral training included positions at the National Center for PTSD within the VA Boston Healthcare System and Boston University School of Medicine, both under the mentorship of Dr. Erika Wolf, from August 2017 to July 2019. Additional postdoctoral experience was gained at Harvard Medical School and McLean Hospital with Dr. Kerry Ressler from January to June 2017. Filomene earned a PhD in Neuroscience from Emory University while working with Dr. Kerry Ressler from September 2011 to January 2017 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cell Biology with a neurobiology emphasis from the University of California, Berkeley, obtained in 2011. Early research experience includes undergraduate assistant roles at UC Berkeley and Princeton University.
