Desmond K. has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and professional services. Desmond has held positions at various companies, including NetWitness, RSA Security, AiSP (Association of Information Security Professionals), SP Group, Ministry of Defence of Singapore, and Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT).

Desmond's most recent role is as a Manager of Professional Services in the Asia Pacific & Japan region at both NetWitness and RSA Security. Desmond began this position in October 2022 and their tenure is ongoing.

Prior to their managerial roles, Desmond served as a Lead in Services Sales for India, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and the Greater China Region at NetWitness from December 2021 to April 2023.

Before that, they held the position of Team Lead in Professional Services for the Asia Pacific & Japan region at both NetWitness and RSA Security. Desmond started this role in March 2021 and will continue until April 2023.

Desmond also has experience as a Senior Practice Consultant for NetWitness Professional Services in the Asia Pacific & Japan region from July 2018 to March 2021. Desmond was responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to clients.

In addition, Desmond worked as a Senior Consultant in Professional Services for Southeast Asia, India, and the Greater China Region at RSA Security from December 2017 to July 2018.

Prior to their roles at NetWitness and RSA Security, Desmond gained experience as a Principal Systems Engineer in Technology and Cyber Risk (Threat Intelligence) at SP Group from June 2017 to December 2017.

Desmond's career in information security began at the Ministry of Defence of Singapore, where they held the role of Cyber Security Technical Specialist from an unspecified start date in 2003 until June 2017. Before that, they worked as a Technical Support Officer from October 1999 to an unspecified end date in 2003.

Furthermore, Desmond also served as a Cyber Security Technical Support Officer at the Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT) from an unspecified start date in 2003 until an unspecified end date in 2011.

Desmond is also an Ordinary Member of the AiSP (Association of Information Security Professionals) since September 2022, demonstrating their commitment to professional development in the field.

Desmond completed the Advanced Digital Forensics, Incident Response, and Threat Hunting (FOR508) program from the SANS Institute in 2016. Desmond also obtained certifications such as Organizational Systems Web Application Pentester (OSWAP) from ThinkSECURE Pte Ltd in 2016, Incident Response: Black Hat Edition from Black Hat in 2014, Advanced Penetration Testing, Exploits, and Ethical Hacking (SEC660) from the SANS Institute in 2013, and Advanced Web Hacking – Web 2.0, HTML5 and Web Services Defense from Hack In The Box in 2012. Desmond K. also acquired the Organizational Systems Security Analyst (OSSA) certification from ThinkSECURE Pte Ltd in 2012.
