Gerba Buunk serves as an internist specializing in acute medicine at Amphia Ziekenhuis since January 2014, also holding the position of medical manager for the emergency department and acute admission unit. Concurrently, Gerba Buunk has been a TTPA instructor for Netwerk Acute Zorg Brabant since June 2011 and was a MEDICALS instructor with Stichting Advanced Life Support Groep from January 2010 to August 2016. Previous experience includes serving as an internist at Franciscus Ziekenhuis Roosendaal from October 1997 to January 2014, where Gerba Buunk also held the role of vice chair of the medical staff association, and various positions at Leiden University Medical Center and Groene Hart Ziekenhuis in the 1990s.
