Aya Hamdy has extensive work experience in the field of data engineering and analysis. Aya currently serves as the Data Engineering Lead at Netways since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at _VOIS, where they held multiple roles. As a Networks Big Data Engineer, they were responsible for data engineering tasks such as data transformations, pipeline automation, and performance enhancement using various tools such as Nifi, Google Cloud Platform, Pyspark, and Composer (Airflow). Aya also led data analysis and transformation tasks on group data sources from different markets. As a Data Governance Sr. Engineer at _VOIS, they managed the Data Governance life cycle of multiple projects and carried out data engineering tasks in addition to leading data analysis tasks.

Before joining _VOIS, Aya worked at Teradata as a Data Engineer from October 2017 to March 2021. At Teradata, they gained experience in data engineering and related tasks.

Aya's earlier work experience includes a role as a Junior Analyst at Analytics Pro-Solutions, where they built dummy dashboards on Tableau for presales efforts. Aya also presented demos to colleagues in Saudi Arabia. Aya started their career as a Junior Consultant at Enterprise Consultancy Services in August 2016.

Aya Hamdy completed their high school education at Manarat Modern School from 2011 to 2013. Aya then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics at The German University in Cairo, graduating from 2013 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Aya has obtained several certifications. Some of these include the Certified SAFe® 5 Practitioner from Scaled Agile, Inc. in March 2022, the Advanced Data Analysis Nanodegree from Udacity in April 2021, and several online courses in fields such as data analysis, data science, and Python from institutions like Coursera, Udemy, and the University of Michigan. Aya also has a certification in Microsoft PowerBI and is Microsoft Certified in Azure Data Fundamentals, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
