Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative educational solutions. Currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris has worked on hardware development for DViT interactive whiteboards and other educational devices. Previously, Chris served as a firmware engineer at SMART Technologies, where firmware and diagnostic tools were developed for similar products. Prior roles include electronics contractor at Science Alberta Foundation, and electronics engineer at Grindcom, focusing on control systems for the forestry industry. Chris also contributed to the academic field as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary. Chris holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
