Monika Shergill is a seasoned media executive currently serving as Vice President of Content at Netflix since July 2019. Prior to joining Netflix, Monika held the position of Executive Vice President & Head of Content at Viacom18 Digital Ventures from September 2015 to June 2019. Monika's experience includes significant roles at Star India Pvt Ltd, where responsibilities ranged from Creative Consultant to Senior Creative Director of Non-Fiction for Star Plus and Programming Head at Star One. Earlier in Monika's career, roles at Sony Entertainment Television included Associate Creative Director of Fiction Programming, and Monika began in the industry as a Correspondent & Producer at Miditech, focusing on documentaries and travel series. Monika holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Honours from Miranda House.
