Joseph Kang

Manager, 1st Level Customer Support and IT at NetEx

Joseph Kang began their career in 1994 as an Associate Network Support Engineer at StorageTek, where they handled first contact customer support on a proprietary network transport protocol and application suite. Five years later, they moved to Network Executive Software as Manager, 1st Level Customer Support and IT, where they supported Fortune 1000 customers on the company's proprietary transport protocol software and associated application suite. Joseph was required to understand heterogeneous networking environments from the network up to the hosts themselves (PC, mid-range, and mainframe systems).

Joseph Kang received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Math and Computer Science from St. Olaf College in 1994. In 2013, they obtained two certifications from GIAC, the GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) and GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC).
