Berend Olde Rikkert has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Berend started their career in 1990 as a project manager at Sociale Verzekeringsbank. From 1996 to 2001, they worked as a management consultant at Ernst & Young Consulting. Berend then joined Capgemini, where they held the positions of Principal Management Consultant and later Vice President Energy & Utilities from 2001 to 2010. In 2010, Berend co-founded Zon-IQ, a solar energy provider, where they served as the Founder/Owner and was responsible for product management and developing the company's product portfolio. In 2014, they joined Quby as the Partnership Director, where they led the international business for Toon, focusing on commercial strategy, team building, sales, and account management. Berend's most recent role is as the Chief Commercial Officer at NET2GRID, a leader in Energy Insight and disaggregation. In this role, they help energy suppliers extract value from smart meter data to reduce churn, increase sales, reduce service costs, and generate leads to energy services.
Berend Olde Rikkert attended Ludger College, where they completed their education until the year 1980. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Psychology at Radboud University from 1981 to 1988. Later on, in 2015, they took a course in Strategic Marketing at INSEAD.
