Mike Hillwig-Shea has over 20 years of experience in various technical roles, starting as a Lotus Notes Administrator at Fiserv in 1997. Mike later worked as a consultant at Weirton Steel, Lotus Development (an IBM Company), Equitable Gas, and eventually became a Database Administrator at Shawmut Design and Construction in 2005. In 2008, they moved to Acme Packet as a Database Administrator and then joined Daley and Associates in 2011 as a Contract Database Administrator. From 2012 to 2023, they worked at BNY Mellon in two different roles: a Data Services Manager and Production Services Team Lead. Currently, they are a Client Service Manager at NET Xperts LLC. Mike'sexperience includes leading technology support teams, managing data services, and working on unified logging, master data, and inventory tools.

Mike Hillwig-Shea attended Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania from 1991 to 1996, although their degree and field of study are unknown. In 2019, they began attending Southern New Hampshire University for Data Analytics. In addition, they have obtained the Microsoft SQL Server MVP certification in October 2014 and is an MVP Alumni from Microsoft.
