Samantha Duncan

Samantha Duncan is the CEO of Net Purpose, a position they have held since the company’s inception in 2012. Prior to their current role, Ms. Duncan served as an independent consultant for LAP Latin American Partners LLC from September 2011 to March 2012, where they were responsible for investment origination and evaluation for the Central America Mezzanine Infrastructure Fund (CAMIF).

From July 2009 to July 2010, Ms. Duncan was the Head of Microfinance and Economic Development for Supporting Kids in Peru (SKIP), overseeing the organization’s microfinance program for 60-100 micro clients and developing new economic stability initiatives for microcredit, housing finance, business training and local retail sales. During their time with SKIP, Ms. Duncan also managed a team of 5 international volunteers and oversaw the organization’s budget.

In May 2011, Ms. Duncan began working as an independent consultant for Grassroots Business Fund (GBF), assisting with the creation of an Indian venture capital fund to co-invest with GBF India. Ms. Duncan worked alongside the Head of India Investments and GBF CEO during their time with the organization.

From February 2007 to February 2009, Ms. Duncan worked as an analyst in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs.

In January 2011, Ms. Duncan served as an independent consultant for TechnoServe, a role they held until February 2011.

Samantha Duncan completed an executive education program on essentials of leadership at the London Business School. Samantha has a MA in international economics and development from The Johns Hopkins University - Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a BCom in business from The University of Queensland.
