Steve Reed has an extensive work experience in the field of instructional design and has held various roles in different companies. Steve started their career at Trinity Multimedia Group in 1995 as the Chief Learning Officer and Owner, where they directed the Instructional Design group and developed ILT, CBT, and WBT materials for various clients using ADDIE ISD methodologies. Steve also served as a consultant for companies selling commercial authoring systems for CBT.
In 2001, Steve joined Tech Resource Group as a Senior Instructional Designer, where they researched, designed, and delivered ILT, CBT, and WBT materials for Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, and Manufacturing clients, while also evaluating and recommending IMI authoring platforms for the development group.
From 2003 to 2008, they worked at 3Dsolve as the Senior Manager of Instructional Systems Design, focusing on designing and developing Level 4 IMI courses for the US Army and U.
Steve then joined Lockheed Martin in 2008 as the Human Factors Design/Systems Engineer Senior Staff level, where they managed and led the instructional design team within the LM Virtual World Labs. Steve implemented Instructional System Design duties and designed scenario training in Virtual Reality environments.
In 2010, Steve joined Allscripts as an Instructional Designer - Lead, where they researched, designed, and delivered CBT, WBT, and ILT materials for Allscripts' Healthcare medical software applications, reducing development times by developing custom Captivate templates and leveraging exported contents from Captivate files.
From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Senior Instructional Design Consultant at Resolvit, providing ISD consulting and designing and developing WBT and ILT materials for various projects, including converting ILT materials to video training and reducing production times.
Steve also worked as an Instructional Design Consultant at Resolvit - Netapp in 2014, where they built desktop applications and created final assessments using different tools.
Currently, Steve is employed at Net Health since 2017, where they hold the position of an Instructional Designer III/LMS Technical Support and Instructional Designer III/LMS Admin & Technical Support, providing support and technical assistance for the Learning Management System.
Overall, Steve Reed has gained diverse experience in instructional design, including designing and developing various types of training materials and utilizing different technologies and methodologies throughout their career.
Steve Reed has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Associate of Science (A.S.) degrees in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of New Hampshire. Steve also holds an Associate's Degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from the University of New Hampshire - Durham.
