David Callaway has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. David currently serves as the Software Engineering Team Lead at Net Health, specifically leading the direct billing team for their Net Health Therapy for SNFs product. David collaborates with an agile scrum team to develop and maintain the complex revenue cycle management (RCM) system, which focuses on healthcare billing, claim creation, adjudication, payment processing, and customer invoicing. David's responsibilities also include ensuring compliance with healthcare industry regulations such as HIPAA.

Prior to their current role, David worked as a Software Engineer III at Net Health after they acquired Optima Healthcare Solutions. In this position, they customized and localized rehabilitation software for the Chinese public healthcare space. David'stasks included translating and adapting the software for English and Chinese users and altering workflows to comply with Chinese government regulations.

Before joining Net Health, David was employed by athenahealth, where they held roles as a Staff Developer and Senior Software Developer. As a Staff Developer, they contributed to the datawarehouse feed project, which involved automating data extraction and transformation from an Oracle database to clients while maintaining patient health information integrity. As a Senior Software Developer, David migrated a legacy Flash dashboard to a new Angular frontend and integrated it with a .NET MVC architecture.

David's earlier experience includes positions at USAN, Inc. as a Senior Software Developer and Software Developer. At USAN, they developed automated workflows and maintained interfaces for legacy customer CRM systems. David also designed hosted IVR solutions for Fortune 100 clients, reducing their customer service workload.

Additionally, David worked briefly as an Advisory Intern at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where they gained exposure to various consulting projects related to enterprise application cataloging, data analysis, and forensic data preservation.

At the start of their career, David was an IT Specialist and Software Engineer at Hollingsworth & Vose. In these roles, they implemented custom technological solutions, developed production data entry systems, and administered local networks. David also assisted in the transition from Novell to Active Directory.
