Tinyee Hoang, Ph.D. has extensive experience in the food industry, specifically in product development and innovation. Tinyee is currently working as a Principal Scientist at Nestlé Health Science, leading the development and commercialization of gummies in the VMH space. Tinyee collaborates with internal and external partners in this role. Prior to their current position, Hoang worked at Mondelēz International for several years. Tinyee served as an Associate Principal Scientist in Global Innovation Platform Development from October 2018 to March 2022. During the same time period, they also held the role of Global Gum & Candy Innovation Product Development Lead. Before joining Mondelēz International, Hoang worked as a Sr. Scientist in North America Gum Product Development from February 2008 to December 2014. Tinyee also gained experience at Mars Petcare U.S. as a Product Development Scientist from August 2006 to December 2007. Additionally, they worked as a Consultant at Natural Quick Foods, Inc. in October 2005 and as an Analytical Intern at the California Department of Food and Agriculture from 2000 to 2002.
Tinyee Hoang, Ph.D. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of California, Davis, from 1995 to 2000. Tinyee then pursued higher education at Washington State University, where they obtained a Ph.D. in Food Science from 2002 to 2006.
