Gillian Wu has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Gillian is currently the Founder of Mulana IM, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they co-founded Neptune Mutual in September 2021 and also founded Mulana Capital in January 2022. Gillian served as a DeFi Strategic Advisor at Mapleblock Capital from February 2022.

In their earlier career, Gillian Wu held the position of CEO at Huobi Asset Management (Hong Kong) Limited from October 2019 to February 2022. Before that, they worked as the Chief Investment Officer at Anbang Insurance Group from March 2017 to May 2019.

Gillian Wu's work experience also includes positions at Delta Lloyd, where they worked as a Fund Manager and later became the Head of Hong Kong Branch for the Asset Management division. Gillian started in January 2006 and left in February 2017. Additionally, they worked as a Fund Manager at Delta Lloyd from January 2006 to March 2011.

Gillian Wu started their career in 2004 at Cisco as a Financial Analyst in treasury and credits. Gillian worked in this role from January 2004 to December 2005.

Gillian Wu's education history includes various academic experiences. In 2001, they attended the Amsterdam School of International Business, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business Management. Gillian graduated from this program in 2003. Following this, they enrolled at Nyenrode Business University in 2003 and completed their studies in Financial Management, earning a Master of Science degree in 2004. In 2008, Gillian briefly attended Columbia Business School, where they focused on Value Investing. In 2010, they participated in a program at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, specializing in International Investments. Lastly, starting from an unknown year, Gillian engaged in a course of study titled "A practical history of finance" at The University of Edinburgh, which they completed in 2012.
