Jay Desai has worked in a variety of roles since 2014. Jay began their career as a Tutor at Baps Swaminarayan Hindu Center, where they designed lesson plans and tutored college students in mathematical subjects. In 2015, they became the Manager of Retail and Finances at Quick Stop Wine and Liquor. In 2017, they interned at Annett Enterprises as a Design Engineering Intern, where they designed and tested a rehabilitation lift device for a client with arthritis. In 2018, they interned at The Valley Hospital as a Clinical Engineering Intern, where they were responsible for the maintenance of medical devices and designed a flow system to optimize devices' maintenance. In 2019, they worked as a Clinical Engineer at Angel Medical Systems. Most recently, in 2021, they began working as a Field Engineer at Neocis Inc.

Jay Desai obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University between 2014 and 2019.
