Chris Nicol is an experienced Electrical Engineer with a focus on developing collaborative solutions in educational technology at SMART Technologies since July 2010. Current projects include hardware development for DViT interactive whiteboards and other educational devices. Previous roles at SMART Technologies as a Firmware Engineer involved creating firmware and diagnostic tools for similar products. Additional experience includes electronics design and repair as an Electronics Contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation and teaching assistance in electronic circuits at the University of Calgary. Earlier career contributions as an Electronics Engineer at Grindcom involved the design and testing of control systems for forestry industry equipment. Chris Nicol holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
